Blur乐队组建于89年的伦敦，是个四人摇滚乐队，Damon(Vocal)，Alex(Bass), Dave(Drum), Graham(Guitar)。当时差不多都20岁左右。
Blur乐队的成名并不像一些POP乐手那样一炮走红。94年那张"Parklife"的专辑,才真正算是Blur的成名作，这张专辑引起了难以想象的轰动，影响力甚至到了颠覆传统英式摇滚的地步。而后Oasis乐队的迅速崛起，让Blur感受到了前所未有的冲击，但是95年的"The Great Escape"和97年的"Blur"，这两张专辑巩固了Blur的地位。
最让我激动了两首Blur的歌就分别出自这两张专辑。一首叫"No Distance Left To Run"，另一首就是急剧爆炸力的"Song 2"，据说美国空军想在介绍最新隐形战斗机时用这首歌做背景配乐，但是被拒绝了。00年出了双片精选集后，Blur的低潮期来了，主要原因是Guitar手的心猿意马，和Vocal的第二职业。Guitar手Graham自己出了专辑，Vocal Damon自己建立了一个虚拟乐队，就是那个著名的乐坛神奇：Gorillaz街头霸王。乐队由虚拟的卡通形象组成，唱片销量竟然一度超过很多真人乐队。Damon是成功的，但Blur却没落了。
03年Graham正式走人，随着Damon的回归，Blur出了一张转折性的专辑Think Tank(智囊团)，专辑里尝试了世界音乐的元素，对于Blur来说真的是何去何从，真的祝福他们...
